As long as I could read what I chose, and not something assigned. :)

Exactly! For some reason being forced to read a book takes the joy out of it.

The man who broke into Auschwitz - Beautifully written, moving and insightful, i love the final sentence i lve the descritions and the suspense of him getting in and out of the concentration camp was thrilling and i loved how my book had pictures in the middle made itfeel all the more real!
Darkfever - Karen Marie Moning Wow. Just wow.
Its one of those books that you read the blurb and think that it just sounds so cliche and its going to be like every other paranormal book with it being obvious as to whats going to happen and such... But not this, there are so many secrets that havent been revealed that keep you guessing, the world is so well thought out and the reaction of the characters are much more realistic, she is freaked out by this world, refused to believe it and thought it was a joke, she didnt just accept it.
I love the descriptions of the unseelie, i can picture the horrible gruesome characters in my head.
I honestly think this has gotten me out of a reading slump and i loved it.
Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Dexter, #1) - Jeff Lindsay I was being really lazy with this book and it took so long to read considering it was only 275 pages, I am in a bit of a reading slump so i felt like I didn't take a lot of it in... that is until the last hundred or so pages, oh my god! It was entirely different to the t.v show so I wasn't expecting it at all, I love the creepy tone of the writing and I couldn't stop reading, it left a bit of a cliffhanger at one point to which i was like WHAT JUST HAPPENED. and i couldn't believe it! Highly recommended.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom I really really enjoyed this book, it was beautifully written and really easy to follow.
I love the idea, that before you get to your heaven, 5 people who you made an impact on explain to you why you lived and what for.
I HIGHLY recommend this book.
If I Stay - Gayle Forman It's not really... a book i'd want to read or be interested in, its pretty depressing and sad, but it didn't make me cry but...
The writing was just so beautiful and the characters felt so real and I could relate to them so well that I actually really quite enjoyed it, though i did not like the story itself.
I loved the relationship of Adam and Mia and the fact that they were so different but that's okay because they still love each other and that Adam didn't need to like Kim, Mia's best friend either and it was alright fro them to have two separate worlds.
I would recommend this book though its not really the story that I would pick for myself and my mum bought me this book, so i did enjoy it but just wasn't for me.
Stolen: A Letter to My Captor - Lucy Christopher When I read the summary of this book, i assumed it would be a horrendous story... a story of rape, anger, possible murder, i'm not entirely sure.
But it wasn't, it felt so real, it felt confusing and just... wrong. I loved the description of all the things that the kidnapper did, of the nicer side of him, of how he believed that what he was doing was "saving" her.
I loved reading her thoughts, as they progressed, as she changed, I loved how she never gave up no matter what, tried to escape.
I was quite bored with some of the long descriptions, and thats why i couldn't give this a 5 out of 5. But, i did read it fairly quickly... and I did enjoy it, and I wanted to keep knowing what was going to happen and whether Gemma will get closer to Ty or whether she will pull away.
Its a really good read and i recommend it to anyone, even though it is aimed at teenagers I really think that even adults can appreciate this book.
The Fault in Our Stars - John Green This is the first book I have ever read involving a terminal disease and was quite skeptical to reading it as i thought it would most likely be depressing as hell. But there are a lot of good reviews on this book so I gave it a go...
i really enjoyed it, i read it within a week, there are parts which made me laugh and some which made me sad but the purpose of this book is not to show how horrifying cancer is but rather how wonderful life is.
Zelah Green: One More Little Problem - Vanessa Curtis boring, nothing much really happened till the end
Hate List - Jennifer Brown I actually quite enjoyed this book, I liked how it often had the news report giving away little snippets of the shooting, it allowed to compare with how Valerie described the events. I was hoping to hear more about the hate list itself and her relationship with Nick... However I did still enjoy this book and would recommend it.
Before I Go To Sleep - S.J.Watson I found it hard to get into this at first, Things never really got going until the last 50 pages or so, but i loved the twist at the end so much and read at every chance I could get today just to finish it! I would recommend this book to someone but wouldn't say it was one of my favourite books, though definitely one of my favourite endings!
The Future of Us - Jay Asher, Carolyn Mackler When I heard that Jay Asher had another book I was really excited, I really enjoyed Thirteen reasons why.
I even liked the whole idea, the whole concept of it! But the read was quite disappointing, I gave 2 stars simply because I really liked the idea and how the facebook parts were set out to look like facebook so it was easy to follow, I didn't like the story line and wasn't really interested in it at all.
I finished it quite quickly as I hoped it would get better, I never connected with the characters at all.
Me, the Missing, and the Dead - Jenny Valentine I first read about this book when i was looking at the author on here after enjoying broken soup.
I was delighted it was in my local library and took it out to have a read! I quite enjoyed this book, it was a slow start but once things started unravelling I just wanted to know more! I wish there was a second book to this though, feel like there is a bit of a loose end, a 'what happens then?!' kinda feeling.
But nevertheless, I really enjoyed this book and only took me a few days to read.
I'd recommend.
